"We", "us", and "our" refer to Tax Choices LTD. "You" refers to the businesses and individuals who use our Platform.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Data Controller

Tax Choices LTD is the data controller responsible for your personal data collected through the Platform. If you have questions about how we use your data, you can contact us at 2/3, 48 West George Street, Glasgow, G2 1BP, United Kingdom.

3. Data We Collect About You (Business Users)

Account data: your name, email address, phone number, company name, company type, company address, registration number, and VAT number.

Payment data: processed through Stripe. We do not store your full card details — Stripe handles payment information securely. We store your Stripe customer identifier and payment method validation status.

Usage data: information about how you use the Platform, including leads purchased, auto-purchase rules configured, communication templates created, and documents generated.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically when you use the Platform.

4. Data We Collect About Leads (Homeowners)

Lead data is collected from homeowners who submit enquiries through our advertising on Facebook, TikTok, and Google. This includes their name, email address, phone number, address, postcode, property type, and campaign-specific details (e.g. number of windows, house type).

Leads are generated with the homeowner's consent to be contacted by home improvement companies about their enquiry.

Lead data is shared with the purchasing business once a Lead is bought. The purchasing business becomes a data controller for the Lead data at that point.

5. How We Use Your Data

To provide and maintain your account and access to the Platform.

To process Lead purchases, Data List orders, and Calling List orders, including payment through Stripe.

To deliver purchased Leads, data files, and related notifications to you.

To operate the auto-purchase engine, resale marketplace, and credit return process.

To provide CRM, email marketing, quoting, and invoicing tools.

To communicate with you about your account, service updates, and important notices.

To comply with our legal obligations and prevent fraud or misuse of the Platform.

6. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract: to provide the services you have requested, including Lead purchases and account management.

Legal obligation: to comply with tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

Legitimate interests: to operate and improve the Platform, prevent fraud, and communicate with you about our services.

Consent: where you have explicitly consented, such as receiving marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.

7. Data Sharing

Stripe: we share payment-related data with Stripe to process payments securely. Stripe is an independent data controller for the data it holds.

Lead buyers: when you purchase a Lead, the homeowner's contact data is shared with you. You become an independent data controller for that data.

Advertising platforms: we use Facebook, TikTok, and Google to generate Leads. These platforms are independent controllers of the data they collect.

Service providers: we may use third-party services (e.g. email delivery, hosting) that process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.

Legal authorities: we may disclose data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Lead data is retained on the Platform for the duration of the exclusivity and resale lifecycle, and thereafter for record-keeping purposes.

Data Lists and Calling Lists, once downloaded, are held by you under your own data retention policies.

You may request deletion of your account data at any time, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records.
